July 25th Finally

Finally chemo is done!!! I am sooo excited, 1 leg done 2 to go. I have another MRI on the 12th and my masectomy on the 14th. I could possibly have a lumpectomy, but in my mind if you are going to take a chunk you might as well take the whole thing then reconstruct. I don't want to do this again (obviously!!!). I will then have 33 radiation treatments to finish up. That is not suppose to be too bad just getting there is a pain. I will try to continue to work and do it at lunch. In a bout 6 months we can do reconstruction. I don't know I am thinking Pamela Anderson? Looking back it wasn't too bad, I am pretty lucky. I had a lot of outside support and help and my body stayed pretty strong. Now it is time to get my butt back in shape. Who gains weight with cancer?
Kai story of the month--- 7 yr old gang banger---He and Briggs found some field paint and decided to paint (I should say tag), choice words on the neighbors wood swingset. Kai had to sand for about 3 hrs. that night. 7:00 am day and 3 cans of stain later (Kai paid half) I hope he learned a lesson. He said "this sucks mom". My reply, "I guess you better go to college so you have other options." I am sure it is not the last time Kai gets in trouble.
Ryan took all the kids to Colorado for Kai's baseball tournament and I relaxed all week with Ripken. They are having a ball. I am reading, resting and eating out!!!

Great to hear that all is well at your house....and Kai sounds like a handful! I remember when he was born and Ryan said that he was a "mamma's boy" because he just wanted you all of the time...funny how things change! Thanks for the update!

You failed to mention that YOU stained most of the swing set! (aside from what Kai did of course)

I'm so glad that you are DONE with Chemo!! Now if the next few months could pass quickly and you could get this whole thing over with!! I wish I was there to help you with your kids. I still can't believe you are contuing to work. You are amazing.

Okay and please, you gainied weight? How skinny were you when you started chemo? You looked amazing when I saw you. I told Angie that only you could wear and look amazing in "skinny jeans" like you did!!! Good luck in a couple of weeks.

Ang! You are amazing! its so good to see that someone else has to deal with a boy that is to wild,, Although tanner is only 4 but he is way on his way being a lil punk, and I loved how you had him learn his lesson! Who gains weight with cancer? You, Ang, you...unbelievable.

Gotta love promoting college so your Utah county boy doesn't become a gang banger. I hear that is a big problem there.

So good to hear Ang! I'm thinking the Pamela Anderson is the only way to go. Good luck with your next stages, your still in our prayers.

I'm glad you jumped right on top of the "gang" thing. I've always seen you as one who might have a gang banger child.

We are so happy to hear that you are well. I am so glad that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for you. Keep up whatever you are doing because it is working.

I'm glad to hear about your weight gain - I gained some too during your Chemo. Go figure!

Love you,

Hi Angie,
So glad to read your blog and read from YOU what is REALLY going on. I have some very dear friends from radiation. Funny though, while we were all in line to get our radiation treatments, the men with no pants on women with no tops on (under gowns of course) and then I was with no pants on like the guys. I got many strange looks. Our prayers are with you every day! Love you to pieces. aunt jan & uncle ron
