Let the fun begin

Angie had her first chemo treatment today. It took around 1 1/2 hours to complete. We went to get some medicine and then she slept from 5:30 on for the rest of the night. The doc says she will most likely have 16 weeks of chemo with 8 treatments. We expect her hair will be gone within two weeks. So if you have a chance to see her new hair style she looks really really hot. We have had a ton of support and I think Kai Raass keeps making extra food for us on purpose, she has been awesome. Our freezer is full from everyone bringing food over. We assume things will be challenging in the future but as far as today goes, things are going well. For those that want to spread rumors ... Angie is doing well and I expect she will be at baseball games this weekend.

We too are grateful for the updates. Eric is constantly asking if there is anything new about how you guys are doing on your blog. I keep telling Eric I wanted to do something and since you know I am no Betty Crocker we were kinda thinking some "Cafe Rio"! Good luck with your games this weekend and good luck with the future weeks ahead. I had no idea it was that many weeks. You are both amazing! You are in our prayers every night, in fact our little guys are starting to ask funny question - we shall discuss that at a later time! Tell Ang there is no better look than a cute baseball cap! She is awesome! Luv - the Madsens

Ryan, Angie, and Family,

We love you and we are praying for you. If there is anything that we can do, please let us know. You have had such a profound influence on our lives and we want to give back to you like you gave (and give) to us. Please, please let us know how we can be a help. I know you have a large support group, as evidenced by the many supportive messages, but I know I can do something. Casey and I were thinking about some work on your basement? Pro bono? Let me know...anything.

Please, please, please let Angie know that I am thinking of her. Hopefully she got the treat I dropped by last night. I just saw Angie at Costco a few weeks ago. I LOVE the short hair - she does look hot. She still looks as bright and beautiful as she always has...I would have never known that she was going through something like this! Your family, especially Ang, are in my thoughts and prayers. Keep posting news! Renee Hill Holland
